pigsflew (open in a new window)I think the most interesting thing about robotics is how well accepted they are in Japan--it's an interesting psychological puzzle, comparing Western culture to theirs. I don't think robots will be very common outside of factories here anytime incredibly soon. In Japan however, it's just a matter of time, and I don't think it will be very long at all before we'll see personal robotic assistants.

manbearpig (open in a new window)I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlords! I love to tinker with electronics, mechanical stuff, sensors, and computers. I've been into robots since I was a child; I can't get enough of them. I hope true AI is developed during my lifetime, just so I can see it happen. 49 years old | Lincoln, NE, USA Does manbearpig belong in this group?
